Ruth grew up in the Niagara Region of Ontario, where the sport of rowing played a major role in shaping her life. Her passion for the sport eventually led her to Victoria, where she studied Visual Arts at the University of Victoria. During her time at UVic, Ruth honed her skills as a painter, developing a distinctive style that blends vibrant colors and dynamic compositions, often drawing inspiration from her surroundings and personal experiences. Her work has been exhibited in various local galleries and she continues to explore the relationship between art and physicality in her creative endeavors.
After moving back to the east coast to raise her two sons, Ruth dedicated over a decade to sculpting her physique, ultimately becoming the World’s Top Women’s Bodybuilder in both 2019 and 2020.
As a single mother, Ruth was frustrated by her experience trying to sell her home—unable to find a realtor who met her needs. She took matters into her own hands and sold the property privately. With that success under her belt and a desire to help others, Ruth became a licensed Real Estate Professional in Halifax, NS, in 2008. When she relocated to Victoria in 2017, she transitioned her real estate license and continued to grow her career in the city, building a future for herself and her sons.
